With LED lighting that lasts all day, beekeepers can now diagnose parasites within seconds, irrespective of distance between bee farms. In other words, there is no need for lengthy sampling and often inadequate lab analysis from disparate bee yards. The microscope is easy to use and any beekeeper, even those just starting beekeeping, after just a handful of initial samples, will become proficient in identifying the culprit parasites.

The microscope includes an Omano OM36L with four objective lenses (4x, 10x, 40x spring, 100x oil immersion) that enable magnification from 40x-1,000x. Most beekeepers will find 400x adequate magnification. Both the 40x and 100x objectives are spring-loaded to reduce damage while the nosepiece is rear-facing for easier specimen handling. The microscope also has coaxial focusing knobs for more convenient focusing. Finally, it has LED lighting which, after a 20-minute charge, will last all day in the field.
