Dino-Lite AD7013MZT 5.0MP Polarizing Microscope

Summary

The Dino-Lite AD7013MZT is the same as the AM7013MZT but with interchangeable nozzles. I It offers 10x~240x zoom magnification with built-in polarization, a convenient touch trigger for rapid image capture and a tough aluminum alloy housing for more extreme work environments. It is PC, MAC and UVC compatible, includes measuring software with calibration slide, and 8 LED lights.

Features

The Dino-Lite Pro AM7013MZT digital microscope is purpose-built for industrial inspection where higher resolution and polarized light is required. It features 5.0 megapixels (2592 x 1944 pixels) of color resolution with MJPEG required to run at maximum resolution. . The built-in polarization is adjustable. The microscope also features a metal aluminum alloy housing for greater protection and a touch trigger mechanism for rapid image capture.

Measuring software is included as standard with 8 white integrated LED lights with On/Off software control.makes this digital microscope ideal for rock and mineral identification as well as dermatology, biomedical diagnostic applications and materials inspection (plastics, LCD screens, etc).

The microscope also includes a standard open-face nozzle, a polarization nozzle and a sealed transparent nozzle designed to protect the microscope from damaging dust, debris and moisture. You also have 6mm of increased working distance with the nozzle removed.

DinoScope Software

Dino-Lite USB 2.0 software is compatible with both PC (DinoCapture 2.0) and Mac (DinoXcope) computers. We have found the software to be robust and reliable. It enables image capture, video and time lapse video while measuring capabilities include linear and geometric as well as circular and point-to-line. Notations can be added and edited.

You can capture an image by clicking in the easy-to-use software or, on T models, simply tap the button on the housing. It is worth noting that the color resolution is excellent due to the fixed white-balance calibration which is set at the factory using a jeweler's color balance. Finally, the software enables frame import or export, notations and output to BMP and JPG.

FREE DinoVision Software

There is also additional, FREE software available for download: DinoVision enables easy image drag-and-drop, split, overlay and comparison, which has proven useful for Forensic Scientists and more sophisticated users where image manipulation is important.

Optional WiFi Adapter

The new MSVC72W WiFi adapter turns any Dino-Lite USB-enabled microscope into a portable inspection station, streaming images or live video to an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android tablet or wireless computer. The onboard battery pack offers up to 6 hours of service and you can network with up to 10 devices at once, from up to 50 feet away. Adapter shown, sold separately.

For PC Users

The 5 megapixel Dino-Lite models require the third-party MJPEG codec to be installed. DinoCapture will check for the MJPEG codec and display an alert if it is missing. Because of the higher hardware demands, the frame rate will depend on the resources available to the system.

For MAC Users

•     Requires MAC OS 10.5 Leopard or higher
•     Measuring capability is available with DinoXcope software
•     MicroTouch requires DinoXcope software version 1.9.
