The Dino-Lite AM3011 is the best selling digital microscope in the Dino-Lite range. It is a step up from the entry-level 2011 model, with 8 software-controlled LED lights, as good as the more powerful Dino-Lite digital microscopes. As with other Dino-Lite digital microscopes, it offers exceptional high-end magnification of 230x.

On first glance you might think of this microscope as more of a gadget than an effective, handheld, digital microscope. But don't be fooled by its innovative design. This is a professional, handheld, portable microscope that is widely used in industry for inspection applications while also proving popular with hobbyists such as coin collectors, stamp collectors and botanists.

Color Resolution

In our opinion a key feature is the excellent color resolution which is unparalleled at this price point. It is better than most, more expensive digital microscopes and is achieved by use of a sophisticated  jeweler's color balance. We are impressed!

DinoCapture Software

In addition, the Dino-Lite provides live imaging, USB 2.0 output interface and included DinoCapture software allow for user-friendly photography including stills, video and even time-lapse. Simply tap the space bar on your keyboard or, on the 3011T model, take advantage of the innovative trigger mechanism on the end of the Dino-Lite.

The DinoCapture software lets you capture an image, video, or time-lapse video for annotation and editing. When finished with your analysis, Windows users can save and share files in BMP, TIF, PNG, TIF and JPEG formats.

In addition, eight LED lights provide strong, clean lighting, as required and can be manually turned on and off with the software.

For MAC Users:

For Mac users, DinoXcope offers the ability to edit, save and share your files in PNG, JPEC and MOV file formats. Software updates and improvements are also available at no cost from our website.

Focus

The focus mechanism is intriguing. With the microscope placed directly on a specimen, the Dino-Lite focuses at 50x or with a spin of the convenient thumb dial, at 200x. You can vary the magnification by raising the microscope to different heights above the specimen.

Applications

Dino-Lite has been selling well through specialty channels and we are delighted to introduce it to the microscopy world. It is a highly versatile digital microscope, which given its range of features and price, makes it a strong choice for both professional and personal applications.
