AM311ST - with Microtouch
The Dino-Lite AM311S is the best selling digital microscope in the Dino-Lite range. It is a step up from the entry-level 211 model as it's the USB 2.0 version with a 0.3 megapixel digital camera, but with color resolution and 8 LED lights that is as good as all the more powerful Dino-Lite digital microscopes. As with all Dino-Lite digital microscopes, it offers 10x-200x magnification.
The single difference between the AM311S and the AM311ST is an innovative photo trigger mechanism on the end of the AM311ST. This Microtouch feature negates the need to use your mouse when capturing images. Simply click the button with your finger.

Color Resolution
In our opinion a key feature is the excellent color resolution which is unparalleled at this price point. It is better than most, more expensive digital microscopes and is achieved by use of a sophisticated jeweler's color balance. We are impressed!
DinoCapture Software
In addition, the Dino-Lite provides live imaging, USB 2.0 output interface and included DinoCapture software allow for user-friendly photography including stills, video and even time-lapse. Simply tap the space bar on your keyboard or, on the 311ST model, take advantage of the innovative trigger mechanism on the end of the Dino-Lite. Eight LED lights provide strong, clean lighting, as required and can be manually turned on and off with the software.
Focus
The focus mechanism is intriguing. With the microscope placed directly on a specimen, the Dino-Lite focuses at 50x or with a spin of the convenient thumb dial, at 200x. You can vary the magnification by raising the microscope to different heights above the specimen.
Applications
Dino-Lite has been selling well through specialty channels and we are delighted to introduce it to the microscopy world. It is a highly versatile digital microscope, which given its range of features and price, makes it a strong choice for both professional and personal applications.
Recommended applications include: PCB inspection, coin and stamp collecting, plant dissection, education, calligraphy, all kinds of collections and – well, plain fun such as inspecting hair follicles or nostrils at home!

Note on AM313 (Measuring)
We have decided not to sell this model since, in our opinon, the resolution is not sufficient to support professional measuring requirements.
The AM313 is the exact same digital microscope as the AM311, but includes measuring software.
