The Dino-Lite AM413T5 is quite simply, the most powerful handheld microscope available, and similar to the AM413T, but with 500X fixed magnification power. This feature is specifically designed for professionals or hobbyists who require closer inspection of a specimen, whether it be a coin, printed text or hair.

Features

The resolution is high at 1280x1024 and this model includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, Microtouch trigger and measurement tool. Its 8 LED lights provide strong, clean lighting as required. The combination makes this industrial microscope a versatile and affordable option for inspection applications.

Magnification

It is also easy to use. Simply hook it up to your computer via the USB 2.0 connection, load the included (and intuitive), DinoCapture software and enjoy the live image. A thumb dial provides focus at a fixed magnification of 500x.

DinoCapture

When you want to capture an image, click the button on your mouse or, on these Microtouch models, simply tap the trigger pad on the end of the microscope. The Dino-Lite also captures real-time and time-lapse video, great for scientific research or educational instruction.

When finished with your editing, annotation and measurement analysis, Windows users can save and share files in BMP, TIF, PNG, TIF and JPEG formats. For Mac users, DinoXcope offers PNG, JPEC and MOV file formats. Software updates and improvements are also available at no cost from our website.

Measuring Software

The measuring function allows the user to input the magnification value from the microscope's zoom control and then to measure the length, angle, and circumference of the specimen.  Both linear and geometric measurements can be captured quickly and easily.

For more accurate measurements, the software can be calibrated using a known scale (such as a ruler), although the viewer should recognize the inherent limitations of accurate measurements with a handheld microscope.
