Gem microscopes are especially designed to optimize the viewing of gem stones and jewelery. They include features such as darkfield illumination, inclinable and/or rotatable microscope heads or stands for convenient customer display, jewelery clips to hold gemstones in place and intense variable lighting.

The popular Meiji Techno range of gem microscopes are available in three series: GEM-SVH, GEM and GM. Each series can use any of the EM microscope heads so the primary differences lie in the microscope bases, as follows:

GEM-SVH Series gemology microscopes use the premium SVH microscope stand, which is both inclinable and can swivel to enable convenient client viewing in the showroom. The GEM-SVH Series can use any EM Series microscope head.

GEM Series gemology microscopes use the GEMZ/PT professional, full-sized stand that is inclinable but not rotatable. The GEM Series gem microscopes can use any EM Series microscope head.

GM Series gem microscopes are an economical solution for those who require a more affordable solution without compromising on optical quality. The GM Series can also use any EM microscope head.
