Available Options:
Microscope Body:

  • Infinity Corrected Optical System
  • SM Plan Objectives
  • Koehler 30W Halogen Transmitted Illumination
The Meiji ML9200  series are transmitted light polarizing microscopes ideal for colleges given excellent price/performance ratios. The inclusion of a new, focusable bertrand lens enables extra bright and large intereference figures and these microscopes are useful for both othoscopic and conoscopic observations.

This series is available in monocular, binocular or trinocular versions.

The microscope has 4X, 10X, and 40XS SM Plan Strain Free objectives in a centerable, quadruple nosepiece with one fixed and three centerable objective apertures.  HWF10x eyepieces are standard, one with a cross-line reticle. The right eyetube is slotted for the orientation of the cross-line reticule and the left eyetube has a graduated diopter adjustment. Interpupillary adjustment is achieved via dovetail slider and one eyetube includes a diopter for focusing.

The 150mm diameter specimen stage is rotatable with Vernier and 360º graduation with Vernier reading to 0.1º. Two stage clips are also included. An optional attachable mechanical stage is also available for standard, half-sized slides (MA299).

The polarizer is rotatable in a swing-out mount with detents at 0° and 90°. The Analyzer slide is mounted in slide for East-West insertion. The Bertrand lens with field limiting stop is mounted in similar fashion. The system also includes a DIN standard, first order red, wave plate (gypsum, first order red, sensitive tint, 530nm) and a DIN standard 20mm x 6mm Mica 1/4 wave plate (147.3nm).

Focusing is as normal: Low-positioned, coaxial coarse and fine focus controls, graduated to 2 microns per division with tension adjustment and safety auto stop.

The strain-free achromat Abbe condenser includes an iris diaphragm, swing-out filter holder, and blue clear filter. It is mounted in a centerable holder with rack and pinion adjustment.

Transmitted illumination is provided by a built-in 6V 30W Koehler lamp and transformer with variable control. Vertical incident illumination is provided by similar 6V 30W lamp with external transformer and rheostat controls.

These microscopes are manufactured under the strict guidelines established under ISO 9001:2000 Standards. They are sold with Meiji Techno's limited lifetime warranty.

The Meiji line of microscopes offers a number of other options. Call our microscope professionals toll free at (877) 409-3556 for information on configuring a microscope to suit your application.
