The MT4000 series are Meiji's new series of biological microscopes complete with infinity corrected optics and plan objectives (Plan 4X, S. Plan Phase Ph10X and Ph40X). They are available with either 30W halogen or LED lighting and include KHW 10x compensating eyepieces. The eyepieces have a 21mm reticle mount. There is a graduated diopter on the left eyetube which combines with interpupillary adjustment of 53-75 mm for convenient focusing.

The condenser is a Zernike type Phase N.A. 1.25 with centerable phase annuli for 10x, 20x, 40x and 100x with brightfield position, darkfield stop for the 40x objective and a centering telescope. The mechanical stage, which is ceramaic coated measures 170mm x 140mm with a 80mm x52mm X-Y range of movement. The stage has right-hand, drop down controls.

Additionally, the microscope is available in trinocular format with a beam splitter so that you can operate the trinocular port and right eyetube simultaneously - a useful attribute when using a camera. When in use, the beam splitter divides light 80/20 in favor of the trinocular port.
