  • Meets NIOSH 9002 Standards for Bulk Fiber Identification
  • Polarized Light Asbestos Microscope
  • 6V 30W Koehler Illumination
  • SM Plan DIN Strain-Free Brightfield POL Objectives
  • Strain-Free Achromatic Condenser
  • Binocular, or Trinocular

The Meiji MT6100 series polarized microscopes are ideal for asbestos bulk fiber identification. Manufactured to meet NIOSH 9002 reference methods, the MT6100 series microscopes offer a powerful built-in 6V 30W Koehler halogen lamp with variable intensity control. A built in cross reticle is also NIOSH 9002 approved.

The microscope's optics include SM Plan DIN strain-free brightfield POL objectives in a centerable quadruple nosepiece. It holds 10X, 20X, 40X(S), and 10X central stop (dispersion straining) objectives for total magnification settings of 100x, 200x, and 400x. Also included are DIN standard HWF10X and DIN focusing HWF10XF eyepieces with a cross reticle. A strain-free achromatic condenser (NA 1.25) for focusing light includes an iris and filter holder, and a rotatable polarizer in a swing-out mount along with an analyzer and Betrand lens in sliding mounts are also included. Illumination is 6V30W Koehler with variable controls.

The microscope's circular stage is rotatable and has 360° graduation with vernier.

Two models are available: binocular (MT6120), and trinocular (MT6130). The advantage of the trinocular model is that all three ports can be used simultaneously, which is useful for video or photo microscopy.

The Meiji MT6100 series uses polarized light for asbestos bulk fiber identification. This method is useful for the qualitative identification of asbestos and the semi-quantitative determination of asbestos in bulk samples. This method measures the percentage of asbestos as perceived by the analyst in comparison to standard projections, photographs, or experience.

These microscopes are manufactured under the strict guidelines established under ISO 9001:2000 Standards. They are sold with Meiji Techno's limited lifetime warranty.

The Meiji line of microscopes offers a number of options. Call our microscope professionals toll free at (877) 409-3556 for information on configuring a microscope to suit your application.
