Meiji's TC5300 inverted phase contrast microscopes are a continuation of the TC5000 series for phase contrast applications. They include infinity corrected optics and planachromat LWD Phase 10X and LWD Phase 20X objectives set in a quintuple nosepiece. The condenser is a superior 73mm, N.A 0.30 extra long working distance (ELWD) with Koehler 6V 30W halogen lighting.with phase slider and centering telescope (OD: 30mm). The microscope also includes super widefield high-eyepoint 10x eyepieces (F.N. 22) and the following filters: green interference filter and cobalt clear filter, both in 51mm mounts. The Siedentopf type head is inclined at 30° for more comfortable viewing. There is a graduated diopter on the left eyetube which combines with interpupillary adjustment of 53-75 mm for convenient focusing. The microscope has an inverted image.

Additionally, the microscope is available in trinocular format with a beam splitter so that you can operate the trinocular port and right eyetube simultaneously - a useful attribute when using a camera. When in use, the beam splitter divides light 80/20 in favor of the trinocular port. The stage measures 180mm x 245mm with a replaceable glass insert. An attachable mechanical stage is also available as are a variety of specimen holders.
