Meiji's TC5000 series biological microscopes include infinity corrected optics and plan achromat LWD10X and LWD20X objectives. They have 6V 30W halogen lighting and super widefield high-eyepoint 10x eyepieces (F.N. 22). The Siedentopf head is inclined at 30° for more comfortable viewing. There is a graduated diopter on the left eyetube which combines with interpupillary adjustment of 53-75 mm for convenient focusing. The microscope has an inverted image.

Microscope Configuration

The TC5500 is an epi-fluorescent microscope. It includes a TC condenser as well as a neutral density filter and a cobalt clear filter. The 100W mercury fluorescence attachment includes a power supply, a basic blue excitation filter set, a basic green excitation filter set, and a UV protection filter. The halogen lamp includes a neutral density filter and a cobalt clear filter.

Beam Splitter

Additionally, the microscope is available in trinocular format with a beam splitter so that you can operate the trinocular port and right eyetube simultaneously - a useful attribute when using a camera. When in use, the beam splitter divides light 80/20 in favor of the trinocular port.
