Meiji Techno ML5500-LB Live Blood Analysis Microscope

Summary

The Meiji ML5500 is a mission-specific, phase contrast microscope especially configured for professional live blood analysis. The microscope features phase contrast operation, five plan and phase objectives and 50W Koehler illumination - everything required for proper blood analysis.

Optics

The viewing head is inclined 30° for a comfortable viewing position and is available in either binocular or trinocular format. There are dual diopters for individual eye focusing and interpupillary adjustment of 52mm-72mm. The head rotates through 360° for flexible viewing positions. Two DIN KHW 10x eyepieces are included as are five objective lenses: two BF semi plan phase PH40x and PH100xS and three planachromat objectives: PL2.5x, PL10x and PL40xS. magnification powers include 25x, 40x, 100x, 400x and 1,000x. The objective lenses are set in a quintuple, smooth action, ball-bearing mounted nosepiece.

Please note that the trinocular port requires an optional adapter appropriate for your camera.

Stage & Focusing

The flat top, mechanical stage measures 171mm x 140mm with a 80mm(X) x 52mm (Y0 range of movement. It is graduated with vernier readings to 0.01mm, detachable specimen guide and drop-down, right-hand, coaxial controls. Left-hand controls are available on request. Coaxial focus controls are dual-sided with graduation reading 2 microns per division. Included rack stop and tension adjustment.

Phase Contrast

The phase condenser is a Zernike 1.25 N.A. A centering telescope and extended centering screw are included along with a green interference filter.

Illumination

Illumination is powered by 12V 50W Koehler halogen lamphouse (not shown) with variable intensity controls.
