Summary
The MT6820 and 6830 microscopes are custom-designed for asbestos fiber counting and bulk fiber identification. As such, they are manufactured under NIOSH 9002, NIOSH 7400 and OSHA ID 160 standards. As an upgrade from the MT6100 series, they include a 5th (phase) objective and hence, the capacity for phase contrast and polarizing applications.
Optics
The Seindentopf viewing head is inclined at a comfortable 30º and is available in either binocular or trinocular format. interpupillary adjustment IS from 53mm - 75mm. The head includes reticle angle compensation that maintains the reticle perpendicular in the field of view when the interpupillary distance is changed. There are three eyepieces included: 10x widefield high eyepoint eyepiece , one widefield high eyepoint focusable eyepiece with crossline reticle and guide pin, and one 10x widefield high eyepoint compensating focusing eyepiece with Walton & Beckett reticle.
The MT6820/6830 comes standard wtih 5 objectives, including three strain-free plan objectives of 10x, 20x & 40x, one 10x dispersion staining objective and one Plan semi achromat 40x phase objective.
Please note that the trinocular format requires an adapter appropriate for your camera.
Phase Contrast/Polarizing
Components include a First Order red compensating plate, Bertrand lens, analyzer in sliding mount, Blue Clear and Green Interference Filters of 29.8mm dia. each, and a centering telescope.
Stage & Focus
The ceramic-coated mechanical stage is rotatable with 360° gradations with vernier and two stage clips.
Condenser & Illumination
A strain-free Abbe NA 1.25 condenser with sliding mount is standard, along with a centering annulus for 10x, 20x, 40x phase or dispersion staining objectives, iris diaphragm and dovetail mount. Koehler illumination includes 6V 30w halogen with variable intensity control and in-base transformer.
Accessories
Centering telescope, green interference filter 546nm, blue clear filter, dust cover, manual.
