Motic BA310 Compound Microscope

Summary

The Motic BA310 Series is designed for the rigors of university-level academic research and medical school instruction. The BA310 features a reversed quintuple nosepiece and built-in full 30W Koehler illumination as standard equipment. Similar to the BA210, the BA310 also offers an optional Full Phase Contrast condenser turret and Plan Phase objectives.

It also incorporates a fully rotating, 30-degree inclined binocular or trinocular siedentopf viewing head with 10X widefield eyepieces, 53mm to 72mm of interpupillary adjustment and individual diopter adjustment for each ocular tube.

Available in Halogen or LED illumination, the BA310 brings versatility and ergonomics to a wide range of education and professional research applications.

Optics

The optical system is designed around Motic's new generation of Color Corrected Infinity System EF-N Plan Achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 40xS and 100xS Oil). These new lenses are multilayer-coated for improved contrast and image enhancement, highlighting even the weakest stained specimens for exceptional visual and digital results. Plan Phase brightfield and darkfield objectives are optionally available (BF, 10xPh, 20xPh, 40xPh, 100xPH) or (BF, DF, 10xPh, 40xPh, 100xPh).

Stage & Focus

A large double-layered mechanical stage features a spring-loaded slide clamp with left or right-handed dropdown coaxial controls for convenient 'eyes down' operation. The stage range of movement is 70mm x 50mm. Dual coaxial coarse/fine focusing knobs drive high-quality rack and pinion mechanics for longer life and easier operation. The graduated stage allows for precise, repeatable positioning of specimen slides.

Safety features include a rack stop and slip clutch to minimize the risk of damage from over-extension. The condenser is a professional centering and focusing Abbe .90 NA with iris diaphragm, filter and a wide range of vertical positioning adjustments. High quality illumination is powered by 6V 30W full Koehler halogen or 3W L ED illumination with variable intensity. In addition, simple phase contrast, full phase contrast, darkfield and polarization kits are available, offering exceptional versatility to suit your application.
