The Omano Optima® OM159 compound microscope is the first in our new range of premium, Omano Optima microscopes. It represents a higher quality of optics that is suitable for research applications while still remaining affordable. As such, it is the highest quality, research-grade, compound microscope in the Omano line. It sets a new Omano standard for image clarity, versatility, performance and overall value.
This unit features five full planachromatic objectives in a rear-facing quintuple nosepiece configuration, Kohler 20W halogen illumination, and includes "windowpane style" super-widefield 10X eOyepieces. In keeping with the standard of quality and user-friendliness common to the entire brand, the microscope includes high quality, ambidextrous coaxial focusing knobs, a well-designed fully mechanical stage and excellent ergonomics.
It is available in a trinocular configuration with a 23.2mm trinocular tube output for microphotography applications. Accessories include both blue and frosted filters, immersion oil, spare fuse, spare bulb and dust cover.
The microscope is well-constructed with thoughtful attention to detail. For example, the dimmer control is located immediately under the left-hand focusing knob; as a result, both focus and dimmer controls can be operated simultaneously without the need to look up.
The left-hand, coaxial, focusing knobs are standard, hand knobs while the right hand controls enable single, finger tip, focusing. The mechanical stage has a convenient cut away section for ease of use while the controls have smooth and satisfying movements that also speak to the quality of construction.
The Omano OM159 compound research microscope is ideal for clinical use and excels in its price range for most types of routine life sciences microscopy, including pathology, histology, pharmaceutical research, and general biology. It is suitable for physician offices, college and university use, medical lab applications, and veterinary clinics, among many others.
The microscope was manufactured under the strict guidelines of ISO9001:2000 Quality Certification and also ISO140000 Environment Management System Certification. It is sold with a lifetime limited warranty.
