Summary
The Omano OM116L has proved an endearingly popular 'Junior' microscope at this price point. We recommend it for Elementary schools and families as an affordable starter microscope to introduce the concepts of microscopy without the expense of a more advanced instrument. Unlike the OM115L, it is constructed of metal. It includes three objective lenses and a 10x eyepiece for maximum magnification of 400x. An added benefit are 10 FREE slides including 5 blank and 5 prepared. Recommended for K-4.Optics
A wide field WF10x eyepiece combines with three achromatic objectives for three levels of magnification: 40x, 100x and 400x. The eyepiece includes a useful lock nut to mitigate the risk of damage or loss via small hands.Stage & Focus
The plain stage measures 90mm x 90mm with two spring clips to retain the slides. The dual sided focus controls are a good size for small hands and include a slip clutch to avoid the risk of damage through over extension.Condenser & Illumination

Rating "This little microscope is a real gem at under $100.00! It has all the features found on its big brothers, including a disk-type iris, swiveling eyepiece and slip-clutch safety on the focusing knob. Beats every junior microscope I've ever used. Will last for years with all-metal construction, LED light source and included AC power adapter. Great deal now with the clearance sale. Don't buy a "science kit" microscope when you can get one of these." Billy M.

Rating "I purchased this microscope for my 10 year old grandson this past Christmas. I was so pleased with my purchase and so was my grandson. He is into science big time and wanted a REAL microscope [not a "toy"]. This item sure fit the bill.
It is great made of high quality material and constructed very well and most of all is very reasonably priced. My grandson is having a ball....so much so that I am ordering him two more sets of slides for Easter.
