The Omano OM157B binocular microscope combines contemporary design with semi plan objectives and professional features to create a good quality, attractive and robust instrument. It is an excellent, modern alternative to our ever-popular Omano OM36 and OM88 compound microscopes.

Superior Omano optics are enhanced with professional features such as widefield 10x eyepieces, semi-plan objectives, reverse-facing nosepiece for easier slide handling, coaxial coarse/fine focusing controls, variable halogen illumination and precision-machined components for a robust microscope with, in our opinion, an attractive, modern design.

This microscope is designed for students, clinics and hobbyists and meets all the requirement guidelines established by the major medical universities at a low price.

The viewing head on the OM157B is rotatable 360° and is easy to swivel to share a specimen with a friend or clasmate. Good quality Omano semi plan objectives (4x, 10x, 40xS, 100xS oil) and widefield 10X eyepieces offer an improved image and ease strain on the eyes during extended periods of use. By the same token, the quadruple, reverse-facing nosepiece makes it a little easier to handle slides.

The dual layer mechanical stage (140mm. x 132mm.) has a range of motion 70mm X 30mm with good quality, right-hand, drop-down coaxial controls for ease of "eyes down" use. The fine focusing scale value is 0.002mm. At the heart of the system is an Abbe Condenser with a numerical aperture of 1.25 as well as a filter and iris diaphragm.

Illumination is housed within the easily removable and attractive base and consists of a 6V20W halogen bulb with adjustable intensity.
