The newly introduced Omano OM185 monocular inspection/dissection microscope is designed for elementary school microscopists and hobbyists who require a solid microscope for use in the field. It has a simple design, uses ambient light and is built to withstand the rigors of little hands and elbows. It is all-metal construction with a slip clutch, rack & pinion focus mechanism that helps prevent damage and an eyepiece locked for security. Four rubber feet ensure stable, secure positioning.

The microscope allows for viewing of larger specimens such as insects, rocks, flowers and leaves. A black/white contrast plate effectively reflects ambient light and the microscope head rotates 360° so larger specimens can be viewed off the stage.
