The Omano OM4413 is the sister microscope to the OM4713, the difference being that the OM4413 has a pole stand. It is a solidly built dual power, stereo microscope designed to withstand the rigors of an industrial setting at an affordable price. It includes dual power, 10x-30x magnification and variable halogen upper and base lighting to make it one of our most popular dual power stereo microscopes.
With two wide field WF 10x eyepieces and achromatic, coated 1x and 3x objective lenses, the OM 4413 offers 10x/30x dual power magnification. Built more solidly than the OM13L, this stereo microscope has proved endearingly popular over the past ten years owing to a combination of good quality optics, rugged construction and affordable price. It is well-known for its distinctive, double wide base.
The head, which is inclined at a 45 degree angle, rotates through 360 degrees for flexible viewing positions. A diopter on the left ocular enables individual eye adjustments while the interpupillary distance adjusts through 50-70mm.
Focus & Illumination
Similar to all our stereo microscopes, the OM4413 includes dual-sided focusing controls so that either hand can be used to focus. Illumination is powered by 110 volt, 12V 10W halogen in both transmitted (bottom) and incident (top) illumination. There are three light settings (top, bottom and top/bottom together), all of which have adjustable intensity. Two spare bulbs are included, one for the top and one for the bottom light.
The OM4413 has a pole stand which offer greater flexibility than fixed arm stands since they can be used to view specimens off the stage (larger objects for example) while they can also be used in conjunction with an auxiliary Barlow lens.
We now have an optional hard-sided aluminum microscope case to ensure your microscope investment is always well-protected from the dust, nicks, scratches and dents from everyday use. Simply select the aluminum case from the options above prior to checkout.

"As a nature lover and amateur entomologist I would like to thank you all for an outstanding microscope (thanks especially to Danny & Eric).
My current OM4413 setup is somewhat 'extravagant' and includes the 10, 15, and 20x eyepieces as well as the 2x Barlow. This provides a huge range of magnifications (10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 45, 60, 90 and 120x) which is more than adequate for most any stereo microscope application (and certainly for my entomological purposes).
To be honest, if I only had the 10 and 15x eyepieces I'd be more than satisfied with 10, 15, 30 and 45x. Optics are superb - crisp, bright, and well collimated. The variable transmitted and oblique lighting provides a seamless range of lighting options and all the controls are very smooth and positive.
This scope is built like a Swiss bank vault to provide generations of continued use, and its ergonomic design and outstanding optics will provide countless hours of pure visual pleasure.
Quite simply, the 4413 is a very versatile, professional, and highly competent observational instrument which is easy and fun to use.
As for 'bang for your buck' (compared to other far more expensive scopes) this microscope is 'off the charts'! The rating scale here only goes up to 'GOOD' but you folks (and this scope) actually deserve an unequivocal 'OUTSTANDING'!!

"Please accept my sincere thanks for an excellent microscope. As an amateur entomologist, the OM 4413 provides everything one could ask for. Operation is simple and all controls are solid and positive. Optics are superb, even up to 120X which is generally considered the upper limit for stereo microscopes. With 20X eyepieces, the 3X objective, and the 3X Barlow (120X) the images are stunning.
From 10X to 120X this scope performs flawlessly. Combined with oblique and transmitted light sources, both independent and variable, you've got a microscope that will serve you for years and years and provide countless and comfortable hours of visual pleasure.
Its' built like a Swiss bank vault. The folks at Microscope.com are wonderful. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and supremely helpful (Thanks Danny and Eric). if you couch any reservations regarding the optical or mechanical quality of this microscope - don't!
