With two sets of eyepieces (10x/16x), the Omano OM88 Special Offer offers a range of eight magnifications: 40x, 64x, 100x, 160x, 400x, 640x, 1000x and 1600x . The microscope is also sold with a large mechanical stage that measures 123mm x 132mm and has ergonomic, low set, coaxial control knobs. The range of movement is 30mm x 70mm. A 12V/20W projection halogen lamp powers the illumination while focusing is controlled by graduated, coaxial focusing knobs.

I have spent well over $1500 on microscopes claiming to be "Clinical or Medical Grade" instruments and have been sorely disappointed by all of them. To anyone who thinks that they can find a quality binocular microscope with outstanding optics for less somewhere else, then go waste your money. I have been there and done that! The optics in the OM88 are in my opinion OUTSTANDING, for the price no one I believe will find a better instrument anywhere. Believe me I have looked for well over a year, until now.
