The OM99 microscope body is our finest. The Omano V15 boom base is our finest. Combined, they make a superb inspection microscope. The microscope has a U-clamp base for attaching to tabletops and is available in either binocular or trinocular versions.
Microscope Configuration
The microscope has excellent optical image clarity with a stereo zoom ratio of 1:6.9 and a magnification range of 6.5x to 45x. Complete with 12W fluorescent ring light for crisp images, it also features an ergonomic design for more comfortable viewing. When combined with the new Omano V15 continuous glide, boom base, it is a microscope system for our discerning customers.
Microscope Boom Stand
The new V15U boom stand is superb. It includes a ball-bearing slide that enables the ultimate "continuous glide" motion - the best that we have seen.
The boom has dual horizontal arms of solid metal alloy and measures 28 inches when extended (including the hanging bar).
Standing 21.5 inches and made of solid steel, the V15U offers several thoughtful additions not seen on lesser bases. These additional features include a hanging bar for more versatile viewing with a greater range of angles; a safety bracket to help support the boom; a rubber back stop to protect the cross bar; and a neat, spring-loaded adjustment pin on the hanging bar bracket which enables the lever to be moved out of the way without releasing the pre-set position of the microscope head.
The V15 boom stand provides up to 13 inches of vertical working space and includes a heavy-duty C-clamp capable of securly mounting to work surfaces up to 2.2 inches thick. The boom stand can also be configured with a base plate to rest on top of a workbench.
A 12W fluorescent ring light is included, or upgrade to an LED ring light or select no illumination at all.
