Commissioned for Omano, this inspection microscope system is an integrated PCB inspection station that is designed to improve operator efficiency without additional expense. 

Microscope Configuration

The microscope includes a choice of four Omano stereo microscope bodies (2 zoom, 2 dual power), an integrated light stand, 150W fiber optic dual pipe illumination, a large sliding stage (394mm x 394mm) and universal boom.

Combined, this microscope offers a large working surface with the convenience of a large sliding stage so that the operator can move, quickly around a PCB without having to physically move the board. Remote viewing on a PC or monitor is also easily achieved with the attachment of an appropriate camera to the trinocular port of any of the zoom microscope bodies.

In our opinion, it is a remarkably efficient system for repetitive applications.

Microscope Viewing Head

There are four choices of microscope bodies:

• Omano OM99 - 7x-45x  zoom stereo, top-of-the-range
• Omano OM2300 - 7x-45x zoom stereo, industrial
• Omano OM1030 - 1x/3x dual power (binocular only)
• Omano OM2040 - 2x/4x dual power (binocular only)

Microscope Boom Stand

The Omano OMPCB-GX boom stand is solid. It measures 23.5" deep x 19.5" wide and includes a removable XY sliding stage that measures 15.5" x 15.5". The stage has a range of movement of 6.0" x 5.0" with a "floating" motion that is extremely smooth.

The illumination stand can be placed to the left or right of the boom pole and includes an Omano 150W fiber optic illuminator with dual pipes. The universal arm is 16.0" and with the focus block, gives a maximum reach of 22.0".
