Summary
The Omano OMFL400 is an upright, trinocular fluorescence microscope that is a good quality workhorse for fluorescence applications and photomicrography. It includes six premium objective lenses for optical clarity, a T-Mount photo tube with two magnification settings and integrated fine focus and two excitation filters - blue and green. Illumination includes both a 100W mercury arc lamp and 20W halogen for brightfield applications. maximum magnification is 1,000x. Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Optics
The microscope has a trinocular Seidentopf viewing head that is inclined at an ergonomic 30° for greater comfort. There are two WF10x eyepieces with dual diopters and a phase centering, telescope. The T-Mount trinocular adapter has the useful addition of two switchable magnifications: 2.5x and 4x that enable use with appropriate SLR cameras. The microscope also features a quintuple, reverse-facing nosepiece and six objectives. They include four plan achromatic:PL4x, PL10x, PL40xS, PL100xS oil immersion and two fluorescence objectives: FL25x, FL40xS glycerin.
Stage & Focus
A graduated mechanical stage measures a generous 140mm x 160mm with right-hand, low position coaxial controls. The range of movement is 50mm x 75mm. Rack and pinion focusing includes coaxial coarse/fine focus controls on the right hand side.
Condenser & Illumination
The condenser is 1.25 N.A Abbe with iris diaphragm. Illumination includes a 100W mercury arc lamp with rotatable filter holder and in-base 6V20W brightfield halogen. Excitation filters include Blue: 420-485nm and Green: 460-550nm. A blue and frosted filter are also included.
Accessories
Accessories include blue and green ultraviolet filters, lamphouse, 16cc immersion oil, spare fuse, bulb, manual and dust cover.
