Summary
The MT6120 and 6130 are manufactured under NIOSH 9002 reference methods for asbestos bulk fiber identification. Available in both binocular or trinocular format, they include one KHW-10x eyepiece with cross-line and guide pin and one KHW-10x compensating eyepiece. The infinity corrected optical system includes four strain-free, plan objective lenses (one dispersion staining), a rotatable polarizer and integrated Bertrand Lens. Lifetime Limited Warranty.
Optics
The Seidentopf viewing head is inclined at a comfortable 30º and is available in either binocular or trinocular format. There are two KHW 10x eyepieces. One has a cross-line and guide pin, the other is a compensating eyepiece. The optical heart of the MT6120 features four strain-free Plan DIN polarizing objectives (10x, 20x, 40xS and 10x dispersion staining) set in a smooth, ball bearing-driven quadruple nosepiece.
Please note that the trinocular format requires a camera adapter appropriate for your camera.
Stage & Focus
There is a rotatable, circular stage with 360° graduations and vernier. Includes two stage clips. Focus controls are dual-sided with coarse/fine graduated to 2 microns per division and fitted with tension adjustment and safety auto stop.
Polarizer
A rotatable polarizer has a swing-out mount with detents at 0° and 90°. Both the Analyzer and Bertrand lens are sliding types with East - West insertion. A First Order red compensating plate, 550nm is included.
Condenser & Illumination
A strain-free Abbe NA 1.25 condenser comes standard, with sliding mount and annulus for 10x, 20x, 40x phase or dispersion staining objectives, iris diaphragm and dovetail mount. Koehler illumination includes 6V 30w halogen with variable intensity control and transformer. A focusing centering telescope is also included.
