The EMZ-8U stereo head is another Meiji workhorse, blending exceptional optical quality in a cost-effective, ergonomic design. The head also offers near-vertical illumination, making it ideal for imaging bores, voids or holes. With optional 10x eyepieces, the head offers smooth, zoom magnification from 7x - 45x while retaining focus throughout the zoom range.

The eye tubes are set at 45-degree inclination for viewing comfort, rotate 360-degrees, and include dual dioptric adjustments. Interpupillary eye adjustment is 54mm - 75mm and working distance is 93mm. Higher magnification is available with optional eyepieces and objectives.

The EMZ-8TRU trinocular stereo head is a Meiji workhorse, bringing exceptional optical quality in a compact, ergonomic design. With optional 10x eyepieces, the head offers smooth, zoom magnification from 7x - 45x while retaining focus throughout the zoom range. The trinocular port beam-splitter allows simultaneous viewing from all three eyetubes to easily facilitate on-screen displays and video applications with an appropriate digital camera.

The head also offers near-vertical illumination, making it ideal for imaging bores, voids or holes. The eyetubes are set at 45-degree inclination for viewing comfort, rotate 360-degrees, and include dual dioptric adjustments. Interpupillary eye adjustment is 54mm - 75mm and working distance is 81mm. Higher magnification is available with optional eyepieces and objectives.

The Meiji FL150 series fiber optic illuminators are precision-engineered power supplies designed specifically for microscopy. The 21V-150W quartz halogen illuminator produces almost 40,000 foot-candle power of variable, cool-white, 3,200 degree K lighting through voltage sensing circuitry.

The unit features an ergonomic, recessed handle, a low-profile design and rugged industrial plastic housing to minimize noise and vibration. A convenient side door provides easy access to the bulb for quick replacement when necessary.

The fiber optic plug-in will accept annular and dual-arm light guides without the need for adapters. The system is available in 110v and 220v ratings and comes designed for plug-and-play integration with Meiji stereo microscope systems.

All Meiji microscopes are manufactured under the strict guidelines established under ISO 9001:2000 Standards and are sold with Meiji Techno's limited lifetime warranty.

Product Details

The EMZ-8U stereo head differs from other EMZ series heads in enabling near vertical illumination with the required FL150/12 fiber optic light guide and FL150/115 power supply.

Otherwise it shares similar characteristics to the EMZ 8 family. The parfocal zoom range is 7x-45x (10x eyepieces) with dual-sided zoom controls. The field of view is 32mm-5.1mm with 10x eyepieces and the standard working distance is marginally longer then the EMZ5 at 104mm. The head is inclined 45° and includes interpupillary adjustment of 54mm-75mm. There are dual +/-5 diopters for convenient individual eye focusing. The head rotates through 360° for flexible viewing positions.

Available in binocular or trinocular format. Binocular is also available with click-stop detents for precise levels of magnification. The trinocular port directs light to both eyetubes and the trinocular tube simultaneously. Please note that a Meiji C-mount adapter is required to fit your camera.
