Microscope Head The EMZ-8TR is Meiji's most popular trinocular zoom stereo microscope head. It is to trinocular what the EMZ-5 is to binocular. A good quality, affordable stereo microscope that will last a lifetime with zero defects.
The parfocal zoom range is 7x-45x (10x eyepieces) with dual-sided zoom controls. The field of view is 32mm-5.1mm with 10x eyepieces and the standard working distance is marginally longer then the EMZ5 at 104mm. The head is inclined 45° and includes interpupillary adjustment of 54mm-75mm. There are dual +/-5 diopters for convenient individual eye focusing. The head rotates through 360° for flexible viewing positions.
A selection of eyepieces range from 5x to 30x for magnification of 3.5x-135x and optional eyeguards are also available. Available in trinocular format and also with click stop detents for precise levels of magnification. The trinocular port directs light to the right eyetube and the trinocular tube simultaneously. Please note that a trinocular adapter is required to fit your camera.
Stand Choose either the standard GEMZ/PT darkfield stand or the GEMZ/BF-DF brightfield and darkfield stand. Both stands are designed specifically for jewelers. Full size and inclinable, they includes 30W tungsten darkfield illumination with gem clamp and 115V fluorescent box incident illuminator on an articulating arm. Transmitted illumination is On/Off switch. The GEMT/BF-DF also includes integrated 30W tungsten brightfield illumination.
