    Summary

Designed with incident Epi-illumination, the IM7000 series can be used for a wide range of metallurgical applications. They are metallurgical microscopes purpose-built for both incident (reflected) and transmitted observation and study of large sample metallography, alloy heat treatment, and metal physics. They include Meiji's excellent infinity corrected optical system with four Planachromat E objectives, E5x, E10x, E20x and E50x and two SWH 10x eyepieces. Koehler vertical halogen illumination is included. Lifetime Limited Warranty.

    Optics

The Siedentopf head, inclined at 30°, is available in binocular or trinocular format. Interpupilliary adjustment is 53mm to 75mm and there is a diopter on the left eyetube for individual eye focusing. Eyepieces include two SWH10x widefield high eyepoint eyepieces, FN 22. Optional E5x and E1000x objectives are available.

The trinocular head has an 80/20 beamsplitter for photomicrography (100% to eyetubes or 80% to phototube & 20% to the eyetube). Please note that you will need an adapter appropriate for your camera.
