OMTM368 Dual Binocular Teaching Microscope

Designed for simultaneous viewing by teacher and student the OMTM368 is a good value binocular teaching microscope. It includes four achromatic objective lenses, halogen illumination and professional features including a full mechanical stage for ease of use. Recommended for schools and home schooling.

Optics

The OMTM-368 includes a dual binocular microscope head inclined at 45° with two sets of WF10x/18mm eyepieces and eyecups. The head rotates through 360°. There are dual diopters for individual eye focusing and interpupillary adjustment of 55mm-75mm. There are four achromatic, parcentered, parfocal, objective lenses, 4x, 10x, 40x spring and 100x spring oil immersion for magnification powers of 40x, 100x, 400x and 1,000x. The objectives are set in a quadruple reverse nosepiece for more convenient slide handling. Both the 40x and 100x objectives are spring-loaded to mitigate the risk of slide damage.

Stage & Focusing

A full mechanical stage includes dropdown right hand coaxial controls. The stage measures a generous 190mm x 150mm with a moving range of 75mm x 50mm. Rack & pinion focusing includes rack stop and slip clutch for safety with dual-sided coarse/fine coaxial focus controls. The focus controls also include tension adjustment.

Condenser & Illumination

The condenser is a professional Abbe 1.25 N.A with three-way adjustment control, iris diaphragm and filter holder. Higher quality Kohler illumination is powered by 6V 20W halogen.
