MT4200 Dermatology Laboratory Microscope

Summary

The new Meiji MT4200D is an advanced, research-grade dermatology microscope, designed for the rigors of daily routine laboratory work by dermatologists and healthcare professionals. The Infinity Corrected Optical System (ICOS) includes five objective lenses set in a quintuple nosepiece and combines with standard LED illumination to offer bright, crisp images. It is manufactured in Japan and comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Optics

The microscope includes a Siedentopf-type binocular head with the oculars inclined at a comfortable 30 degrees. An optional Ergonomic head offers 10-50 degrees of inclination range for even greater viewing flexibility. The left eyetube has diopter settings for easy individual eye focusing. The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 53mm - 75mm. 10x Widefield High Eyepoint eyepieces (F.N. 20) are standard and come with a 21mm reticle mount. Optional 15x and 20x eyepieces are also available.

A DIN Infinity Corrected Optical System (ICOS) includes five Plan brightfield objective lenses (Plan Apo 1.25x, Plan Semi-Apo 4x, 10x, 20x and 40x) set in a ball-bearing mounted, quintuple nosepiece. The Apochromatic objectives significantly reduce chromatic and spherical aberration for clearer, more detailed images than standard Plan Achromats can produce.

Stage & Focus

The standard right-handed flat top stage measures 171mm x 115mm with a 78mm(X) x 52mm(Y) range of movement, coaxial right-hand controls with drop-down positioning and a ceramic coating for durability.

Condenser & Illumination

Abbe .90 NA Condenser in dovetail mount with swing-out top lens. Illumination is bright white LED.
