Dino-Lite AM2111 Summary
The Dino-Lite AM2111 is Dino-Lite's entry-level model. Priced well, it is unquestionably better value than cheaper competing products that lack the quality of software and design. The AM2111 is, in our opinion, the best in class and we recommend it compared to cheaper imitations. It offers 10x~50x and 230x zoom magnification with 640x480 pixel resolution, USB 2.0 output and four Always-On LED lights. With the new Android App, it also works on many Android devices via USB/mini USB.This is an excellent choice for hobbyists, elementary schools and kids.

AM2111 Software
Dino-Lite includes software for both PC (DinoCapture 2.0) and Mac (DinoXcope) computers. PC software is compatible through the latest Windows and Mac through OSX 10.5 and later. The software is robust and reliable with some great features as follows: image capture, storage and email, live and time lapse video (up to 30fps), annotation, geotagging, full screen capability, auto and manual exposure control, picture within picture zoom (magnifier) and more. Above all the color resolution is excellent due to fixed white-balance calibration which is set at the factory using a jeweler's color balance.
